The Biennial Hebrew Order of David International Conference will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, starting Thursday evening, May 15, through Sunday, May 18.
The theme of the conference will be “Be’Yachad – Together.
Attendees are expected from Canada, Israel, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the USA.

Out of Town Visitors to stay at the Westin Perimeter Hotel in Sandy Springs area. Where possible, pick up will be arranged from the airport. Some may need to take an Uber depending on arrival times.
Rate will be approximately $175 per night including taxes.

Daily Detail
Thursday, May 15th.
Guests arrive from South Africa, London, Israel, Canada, and American cities outside Atlanta. Travel to the Westin Perimeter Hotel in North Atlanta.
Evening event to meet and greet visitors. This is Lag Ba’Omer. Presidents and Vice Presidents of Atlanta Lodges & Governing Lodge. Estimate to be around 70 attendees including Spouses.
Kosher BBQ/Buffet, hosted by Atlanta Lodges, to be held at Bnai Torah Shul very close to the Westin Hotel. BBQ on the patio leading off the social hall.
Dress Code: Casual. Recommended shirt representing your city/country.
Friday, May 16th:
Morning HOD workshop and presentations at Bnai Torah. All Atlanta Brethren are invited to join the out-of-town guests.
Kosher light breakfast served. (Bagels, Coffee etc.) Return to the hotel around 2pm after sandwiches/light lunch, to relax and get ready for Shul.
Out of Town wives will have a light Kosher breakfast in the Hospitality room then travel to a venue to be decided. Options include, Coca-Cola, Aquarium etc. The weather should be very good. Some Atlanta wives will transport and escort the visitors and spend time together with them. Atlanta wives bring the out-of-town visitor wives back to the hotel early afternoon to get ready for Shul.
Dress Code: Denims and polo. Recommended HOD polo.
Friday Night May 16th:
Transport out of town visitors to Shul at Chabad Congregation Beth Tefillah. (Approximately 3 miles from the hotel). Hotel to provide a shuttle bus plus Atlanta members will also pick up visitors from the hotel. Invite Atlanta Brethren including spouses to attend, at a reasonable price.
Recognition and welcome in Shul by Rabbi Yossi New who is a Brother, and supporter of HOD. Kosher catered dinner after services in the Social Hall. Shomrei delegates stay with Shomrei host congregants on Friday night and all-day Saturday for Shabbat. They will walk to Shul.
Transport all other visitors back to the hotel after dinner. (Shuttle bus.)
Dress Code: Business casual or more formal as you wish.
Saturday May 17th:
Synagogue
Shomrei visitors at Shul. Lunch at the Kiddush after Shul. HOD to partially sponsor the Kiddush to “beef it up” and get recognition. Shomrei visitors spend the day with hosts.
On-your-own Options
All other visitors have all day Saturday and Saturday night on their own. They can go to Shul and have lunch at the Kiddush or visit Atlanta attractions such as the Aquarium, Atlanta history museum featuring the world-famous Civil War Cyclorama, Coke Museum or Stone Mountain National Park. The large Perimeter Mall is also within walking distance of the hotel, as is the Marta train system to visit the Aquarium or Coke Museum.

Saturday Night:
Shomrei visitors have dinner with their hosts. Perhaps meet for dessert somewhere
Sunday May 18th.
Early brunch on the Westin patio at the hotel next to the decorative lake for visitors and small group of Governing Lodge officers. From 8.30am-9.30am. (Kosher catered by HOD.) After brunch, visiting men transported to Bnai Torah up the street for the Biennial Conference proceedings. (Suits and ties.)
Women remain at the hotel or walk/shuttle to the nearby Perimeter Mall. Lunch at the Mall food court or nearby restaurants. Perhaps organize pickleball and a get together at the Jewish Community Center for local and visiting wives.
Visiting wives to be provided with light kosher food for lunch in the hospitality room. Some may want to be at the pool or visit the Lifetime fitness center and Spa or go to Perimeter Mall.
Grand Lodge at Bnai Torah for all HOD Brethren.
Dress Code: Formal Coat & Tie. Closed shoes. HOD Collars for Lodge Officers.
